LUNCH CLUB

Now that the Parish Centre improvements are complete in the kitchen and lounge we are looking to start a small lunch club, initially for twelve of our own housebound and semi-housebound members. ideally we would like this small club to meet every Tuesday but we may have to start on a monthly basis.

We would begin with coffee at 10.30am followed by Mass in the Centre at 11.00am, lunch at 12.30pm and some social pastime at 2.00pm

We can only do this if we have volunteers from the congregation and friends. We need

                                                                           A)  One person to take responsibility for the oversight of the project,                                                         compile the menus and do the shopping

                                                                          B)  Cooks, servers and washer ups

                                              C)  Someone to drive a mini bus to collect and return folks to their homes

This would be a great help to many of our elderly congregation who have supported the church well over many years. We feel now is the time to support them. We are looking to cook for twelve people to start with so it is not too onerous a task. You could also volunteer for part of the day, perhaps, for example, to do the washing up.
