A
major and urgent renovation costing £170,000 was needed to replace the
floor of the church which was hazardous and collapsing due to dampness.
The Main Areas of Work were:
Renewal of the whole church floor.
Installation of a damp course.
Renewal of the pipework of the central heating system under the new floor.
Replacement of built in pews with high quality, free standing oak pews
to make room for drama, concerts and exhibitions.
Removal of Santex external paint on the internal walls and reversion to
limewash.
Re-point of external masonry.
Restoration of Rood Screen.
Improvement of disabled access and installation of a loop system for the
hard of hearing.

Visiting worshippers are always welcome at any of the above services
The church is also open on Saturday mornings until 11:30 and Saturday
afternoons 1-4 (Easter to the end of October)
